Having a baby is one of the most exciting and rewarding times in a woman’s life, and Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center is dedicated to providing expectant mothers and newborns with the finest care during this special time. Our high-quality maternity services are provided by obstetricians, nurses and other caring professionals in a welcoming, comfortable environment. At Carolina Pines, we will do everything possible to make your miracle all it should be. Our team is here for you, from childbirth preparation to your discharge home. We also offer a Level II special care nursery if your baby needs a higher level of care. 

Childbirth Education Classes

Carolina Pines offers Childbirth Preparation Classes and Breastfeeding Classes to prepare mothers and families for the labor and delivery process and how to care for a newborn baby.

Childbirth classes are held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:00PM-8:30PM in the Education Classroom at Carolina Pines and breastfeeding classes are held on the first Thursday of each month from 6:00PM-8:30PM in the Education Classroom.

Topics include: fetal growth and development, nutrition, common discomforts of pregnancy, breathing techniques, breast feeding, bottle feeding and newborn care.
