Community Outreach
Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center is involved in the community in the following ways:
- Health Fairs
- American Cancer Society
- American Heart Association
- Youth Involvement
Health Fairs
Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center sponsors yearly health fairs. Physicians and their staff, along with community agencies, participate in these community-wide health fairs. Various screenings are performed at no charge to the participants. The Community Outreach Team visits local industries to provide health screenings for employees. For more information on having the team visit your work site, contact the Community Wellness Coordinator at 843.339.4136.
American Cancer Society
Over the past four years, Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center's Relay for Life team members not only have walked all night long but have raised in excess of $15,000 for the American Cancer Society. Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center is a yearly sponsor of this event.
American Heart Association
Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center has sponsored a team of walkers for over 8 years while also supporting the HeartWalk as a sponsor. Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center is also recognized each year as a sponsor of the Heart Ball.
Youth Involvement
Throughout the year, Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center supports the efforts of the youth in our community. From scholarships to baseball, Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center supports all aspects of the lives of children and young adults in our community. Sponsoring high school academics and athletics, even hospital tours for kindergarteners, this is our way of giving back to the youth of our community.
Community Blood Drive
Periodically, Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center holds a community blood drive. We believe in giving back to the community through sponsoring this event. Snacks and drinks are provided for the participants.
