Lori Rivers Named Director of the Quarter

We are proud to announce that Lori Rivers, Director of Patient Safety and Risk Management has been named Outstanding Manager for the 1st Quarter of 2023.
Lori is the perfect example of the ENGAGE principles.
Lori graduated from McBee High School and then continued her education at Coker College, where she received her B.A. in Education in 1995. She then went on to receive her Masters in Education from USC in 1997. Lori decided to start on the path to the medical field and enrolled at Florence Darlington Technical College where she received an Associates Degree in Nursing in 2002. She continued on, getting her MSN from Western Governors University and began her career at Carolina Pines in 2005. Since then, she has worked as a Charge/Staff Nurse in OB and Nursery. She has worked as a Director of Education and Director of Quality & Risk. She was promoted to her current position in May of 2018.
Lori is 100% dedicated to improving quality initiatives and patient safety at our facility. She spends countless hours trying to find new and better ways to improve patient outcomes and their overall stay at our facility. She is willing to take the lead on new tasks or procedures to test its efficiency. She strives on a daily basis to make this hospital a safer and better place for our patients and staff, as well as keeping the hospital up to date and compliant.
She arrives to work each day ready for whatever is presented to her. She never turns anyone away who has a question or concern, or needs help, no matter the load she is carrying. She has a sincere attitude and always has a smile on her face when you see her throughout the building. She has a heart full of love, care, and empathy for her family and her employees. She is genuine and truly cares about her Carolina Pines work family and is willing to jump in wherever she is needed.
Lori serves on multiple committees and works closely with our CEO. She keeps our Board of Directors informed of the many changes and improvements in our facility and does so with confidence. She is thankful for the resources that she has here as well as support from her staff and administration. She is a vital asset to our facility and to our community and we are so grateful for her!
